 Machete! Machete02
So the outrageous spoof exploitation film Machete has hit the theaters recently leaving many reviewers with mixed thoughts. I personally loved the movie, but I'd like to hear the forum's thoughts on it. Any likes or dislikes? Too much ham and not enough substance? Or are some of you fans of these kind of exploitation films?

I liked it, it was 95% action all around, plus there were some comedy bits thrown in with the bad guys minions. In terms of violence, it was pretty gruesome, it was like watching a slasher movie. Although, it does have a LOT of racial shit in it, so if you get easily offended don't watch. I'm trying not to give away much, but Steven Seagal is a badass druglord. That is all

I didn't even notice any racism in this movie...Maybe I've been viewing this genre a bit too much to even catch on to it.

I did have a problem with the violence and the action. It was so fucking half assed. Almost all the gore scenes were animated! WTF man I need carnage on a tangible level here! They have the budget they can pull that kind of shit off but they didn't. So I don't know what was running through Rodriguez's head on that decision, but thankfully the creativity and presentation of each character somewhat made up for that.

Unfortunately, half way through the movie, every single projector in the multiplex died and nobody working knew how to fix them. So that sucked but I got a refund.

Anyway, I loved the parts I DID see. It was pretty great
